really really simplistic guide to picking the right colors for your MTT, shown on a standard color picker - this applies for every color of course, this is just an example to show the ranges.

Of course there are going to be plenty of exceptions, since some colors will look ok even if it's out of this range, or where a color will look too dull even if it's within this range. So still check with me in every case, but this is a good rule of thumb to base your color choices on!
